At Fairwood our precision engineering services includes CNC and Conventional turning and since our formation we have successfully undertaken projects for the Aerospace, Defence and Oil and Gas industries. Our premises are fully equipped with a wide range of turning machinery, equipment and tooling that enable us to provide quality machined parts as one off items, batch components or as part of a larger assembly. Our products can be machined to your specification or designed and developed in house and finished in combination with other machining processes. We have the ability to manufacture components from a range of different materials to include specialist alloys, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, copper, brass and plastic. Our XYZ , CNC lathes allow us to carry out machining up to a length of 1800mm at a maximum diameter of 520mm over the bed, and our Cincinnati CNC lathes can turn high volume components within a length of 350mm and diameter of 250mm. Additionally we have a range of conventional manual lathes to include Colchester’s with a maximum turning length of 2700mm and a diameter of 900mm in the bed gap ensuring we have the capacity to quickly meet our customers’ requirements.
