The environment is considered of central concern to our business and so to assist in the reduction of the environmental impacts arising from all its activities, products and services the company is committed to the implementation of an environmental management system that complies with ISO 14001:2015.
The successful implementation of the Fairwood Precision Engineering Environmental Policy will be achieved through the commitment and involvement of the employees and everyone working on behalf of the company. In order to demonstrate the fulfilment of the Company’s responsibilities the following objectives have been adopted:-
- Raise awareness of employee responsibilities associated with their activities and encourage their involvement in environmental initiatives including relevant environmental training.
- The Company will ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements and with other requirements related to its environmental aspects.
- Continuously improve our environmental performance and incorporate recognised environmental management best practice into our business operations.
- Establish a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.
- The Company will minimise the pollution and nuisance caused by its activities and will implement mitigation measures to prevent pollution wherever possible.
- A positive relationship shall be maintained between the Company and its neighbours and stakeholders through effective communication.
- The Company will identify and seek to minimise adverse environmental aspects of its resource consumption and waste management practices in order to promote sustainable development.
- Environmental accidents, incidents, non-conformances and their adverse impacts will be minimised through improved management techniques.
- Maintain our Environmental standards through rigorous monitoring and review of performance.
